I got my first pair of these shoes about 10yrs ago from my aunt who had the oringal from the '70's that she never wore. I loved them and left them when I moved so when I found these on Amazon I was very excited. These shoes are still great and very comfortable. The toe grip is a little smaller but overall still made the same. I did find that the inside of the strap rubbed and was rough I so I did as someone else suggested and took a little sand paper to it this did the trick. I live in Alabama. When it rains here, it pours. There are giant puddles everywhere and tall sticky grass. I was sick of the ends of my pants being wet and cold when I got home or walking around a store with soaking wet shoes, completely uncomfortable. I bought these but I really felt that I'd settled on the design because they looked, to me, a little tacky. When they got here, I loved them! They're a nice turquoise and the prints blend well. I'm a size 8 and ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly, with or without socks. My feet are totally dry when I take them off. I took a long 30 minute walk with my two year old and we even had to walk down a very steep grassy hill. Every time I try to mosey down a big, wet, STEEP, grassy hill, I always wipe out, even in tennis shoes. These boots held on! I didn't even stumble! They're very snug, so I never feel I run the the risk of stepping right out of them but they never feel too constricting, either. Very comfortable. They're what I would describe as "high quality" because of the feel of the rubber and the performance so if you're worried about paying more for a cheap boot - don't. I noticed someone complained about the sole coming out. They must be talking about the liner in the boot that your foot sits on. Yes, that comes out. The soles come out of almost every tennis shoe and boot I've ever worn. You should push it back in and it's secure. The only time my soles dislodge is when I'm taking the boot off. It's really not a big deal at all and certainly not worth disregarding this boot. I've never had any leakage, tears, or unusual wear. Not so far, anyhow. Everyone loves these boots! Everyone wants to try them on. I highly recommend them or maybe a Chooka boot in another design. (This is my first pair but I doubt there's quality differences from design to design..)

I've only worn these boots once on a short hike. So far, they are decently comfortable. They are a bit stiff, and to the average person it probably wouldn't even be noticable. Unfortunately, I have bruises on both of my ankles right now (not from the boots, just from being clumsy), but I think they will be fine after broken in, and the bruises heal of course. Also, they do run a bit small. I would definately recommend ordering a half size above what you normally wear. On a side note, I was a bit disappointed that I was sent the wrong color, but didn't care enough to send them back and exchange. Overall, a good quality boot.

They are comfortable and can be paired with jeans for a casual look. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the Bingle runs a little smaller than usual. These are great shoes. The rubber heel on them makes them much more comfortable than most flats. These were also true to size for me and great to wear at work. They lasted me a year wearing them to work regularly. Recently threw them away because they got wet (damn the rain!) and the dye turned my feet black. -__- So keep them dry and they'll keep you comfy. :D
